Analytics Translator: From Idea to Impact

Michel Neuhaus

Head AI, Data & Analytics

UBS has recognized that AI and analytics play key enabler roles for creating a compelling banking experience for clients and employees. Making use of AI to deliver significant impact in a corporate environment however can be challenging.
Key obstacles are not only the availablility of data, infrastructure and the right set of skills; even more importantly corporations need to design their organizational setup and cross-functional collaboration in a way that is focused on delivering value and removing obstacles to bring AI solutions live.
In this talk we’ll introduce the role of an Analytics Translator as a game-changing success factor for how we create value through AI. We will show how introducing a dedicated role has helped us ensure a strict focus on business impact, deliver successful solutions end-to-end, roll out data-driven insights to a large number of employees, and actively manage a pipeline of use cases and innovation ideas to further push the boundary of how we make use of data. We will also demonstrate how moving into an agile way of working has simplified the collaboration across functions and empowered teams to take decisions into their own hands.
