How to Leverage Low-Code to Drive and Scale Globally

Low-code development is a paradigm-shifting approach to software engineering that is transforming the way organizations build and deploy software. Low-code platforms provide a visual, drag-and-drop interface that enables users to design and deploy software applications without having to write code manually.

 In this talk, we will elaborate how we are building up a central low-code competence center and low code network to further significantly enhance bandwidth for implementation of digital solutions across Schaeffler. We will delve into the various benefits of using low-code platforms, and also typical challenges we faced.

 Furthermore, we will discuss key features of low-code platforms, such as visual modeling, reusable components, and integrations with various data sources and APIs. We will touch upon the potential drawbacks of using low-code platforms, including limited customization options and potential vendor lock-in.

 

About the Speaker Ralph Wirth

Ralph is an experienced digital transformation executive, serving as VP Data Science Solutions at Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier headquartered in Germany.
In his role at Schaeffler he has built up and is responsible for the global “Data Science Solutions” team – an end-to-end innovation and delivery unit for data- & AI driven IT solutions.
With over 15 years of experience in the data and digital transformation area, Ralph is a recognized expert in the areas of data-driven value creation and digital transformation in general.
